NEURODIVERSITY-AFFIRMING EXECUTIVE COACHING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Power Your Potential.

Your brain is unique. Your work-life design should be too.

If you're a neurodivergent leader, you know that your edge and exhaustion come from the same wiring. This is coaching that understands both, grounded in clinical science and lived experience, so your performance and your health hold up when the pressure hits.

Coaching places are limited each year.

Executive coaching for neurodivergent leaders

Most executive coaching assumes every client runs on the same baseline: steady energy, even attention and one kind of stress or opportunity response. If you're a neurodivergent leader, you already know your days don't work that way. You plan, process and communicate differently, and generic leadership advice rarely sticks, or doesn't make sense, however hard you work at understanding and applying it.

Neurodiversity-affirming coaching starts with the brain and nervous system you actually have. For many of us, attention runs on interest, energy is a real budget, and masking is the quiet default mode that drains it. None of that is a problem we need to fix. It's the design brief our coaching journey starts with, and it's one that takes a systems-wide approach to considering the  whole of your world, and your role within it.

Three beliefs sit under this work:

  • Leadership performance is a system: you, and the environment you lead in. Coaching here works on both.
  • Different minds are core capability. The environment shapes how much of it anyone sees. And environments can be redesigned.
  • Coaching works when it changes the everyday: how your week runs, how your meetings land, how decisions get made. Insight only counts once it changes your Tuesday.

Camouflaging is consistently associated with higher anxiety, depression and stress (Hull et al., 2021; Cage & Troxell-Whitman, 2019), and chronic exhaustion is central to how autistic adults describe burnout (Raymaker et al., 2020).

How an engagement works

Discover. Design. Sustain.

Coaching usually asks you to do all of the changing as an individual.

Ours doesn't.

Research consistently shows that for neurodivergent professionals in particular, the environment you lead in shapes your performance as much as you do, so our work together takes on both: you, and the system around you.

1. Discover

Every engagement begins with 90 minutes together, the Discovery and Design Session. We build the map together: your strengths and your struggles, what your role demands of you, where the current setup fits you and where it quietly costs you.

Within 48 hours, a tailored assessment pack follows. No DISC, no personality quadrants: validated, percentile-normed measures of executive skills, camouflaging, self-compassion and flourishing, administered through an encrypted clinical platform and walked through together, item by item, strength side and shadow side.

Then your Leadership Design Report arrives: what we noticed together, each theme paired with one testable interpretation and a question worth sitting with, and readings chosen for where you want to go. A coaching document, not a clinical report. You stay the expert on your own experience.

2. Design

Six conversations over four months, built around you rather than delivered from a set program.

In some sessions we work on your side of the equation: how you make decisions, how you recover, where your boundaries leak, where masking costs more than it buys.

In others we work on the environment itself: how you communicate with your board and team, how your meetings run, which workplace adjustments would let you do your best work. You change some things. We change the things around you too.

Between sessions you run small experiments. None of them ask you to be different. They ask you to gather information.

3. Sustain

Whatever we build has to survive the quarter after coaching ends. Between sessions you're supported by personalised AI agents set up for your profile, quietly buffering the load on working memory, communication, boundary setting, time-tasking, planning and organisation. The insights from our conversations become tools you use daily.

At the midpoint and the close, we prepare a written progress summary together, and your sponsor sees only what we agreed at Discovery.

The approach behind these phases draws on ecological systems theory, person-environment fit research and sustainable work systems, set out in Mariane's Neuroaffirming Systems Coaching framework.

The coach behind the work

Mariane Power is a behavioural scientist and neuroinclusive leadership strategist trusted by organisations globally. A former clinical psychologist, she spent seventeen years in practice learning to tell the difference between a trait and a state, to see burnout forming long before it lands, and to know exactly where coaching helps and where something else is needed.

Mariane's coaching practice is informed by both her clinical expertise and her lived experience as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent leader, and as a mother, sister and daughter within a mixed-neurotype family. She has navigated boardrooms, funding conversations and competing stakeholder demands with her own wiring, and coaches other senior leaders working with theirs. You won't spend your sessions translating yourself to someone who has only read about your experience.

The work keeps moving between sessions. Every conversation is followed by an in-depth personal summary, so the thinking is captured before the week swallows it. Alongside the summaries sit custom-built assistive technology tools, designed for your profile, that carry the load on working memory, planning and communication. Insight becomes action because the scaffolding for action is built with you, then handed to you.

What you leave with is designed, documented and yours. It works on your hard weeks because it never depended on a good one.

Who this is for

You might be leading a company, a division or a team. You might have a diagnosis of ADHD or autism, be self-identified, or simply know your mind runs on its own logic. What matters is that you're performing at a high level, carrying the cost privately, and ready for that to change.

Clients are most often founders and leaders working in innovation, the creative arts and purpose-driven organisations, and many are women stepping into senior roles or already carrying them.

Coaching isn't therapy or diagnosis. If what you're carrying is clinical, we'll say so plainly and help you find the right pathway. Everything we discuss stays between us.

Common questions

A small number of places, held on purpose

Each year, a small number of founder and community-priced coaching places are held on purpose. These are for early-stage founders before the funding arrives, and for neurodivergent professionals accessing coaching through the Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) or self-funding their own development.

The work is the same. The door is just built differently.

Places are limited and expressions of interest are reviewed as they arrive. When the year's places are filled, you're welcome to join the waitlist.
